Arcades and vendors, fireworks and playgrounds, sand and surf - Hampton Beach has it all. It also has crowds - nearly a quarter-million visitors onn a hot summer weekend! The state provides lifegaurds, restrooms, a first-aid station, and a boat launch. The Chamber of Commerce and area businesses provide entertainment and food. There are actually three beaches in the stretch referred to as Hampton Beach: Hampton State Beach, Hampton Central State Beach, and North Beach. Hampton State Beach is at Hampton Beach State Park, where the RV campground is.

This 44 acre park on the shore of Great Pond offers freshwater swimming in the Seacoast region. You'll find a sandy beach and a grassy area for sunbathing. The park has lifeguards and two bathhouses with restrooms. There is also a picnic area.

Ph: 603-926-8717 - North of Little Boars Head and Fox Hill Point, the beach turns pebbly with intermittent stretches of sand. The Rye section includes (from south to north) Bass Beach, Rye Beach , and Jenness Beach State Park. The beach is broken by Ragged Neck and Rye Harbor, where there are state parks but not great swimming. North of Rye Harbor the beach begins again, with Foss Beach and Rye North Beach, Wallis Sands, and Wallis Sands State Park.

Jenness State Beach is a fun filled swimming and sunbathing destination. The guarded beachfront offers a wonderful opportunity for saltwater swimming, beach combing, and picnicking. Beginning weeknds in mid-May and continuing into mid-June, this park is open for picnicking, swimming, and sunbathing. From mid-June through Labor Day, the park is open daily. The park does have a bathhouse.
